STEAM Fest 2026 is a community-driven showcase of innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
The festival brings together students, educators, innovators, and community members to share ideas that can make a positive impact on society.
Participants are invited to explore challenges and opportunities within Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Design, and Mathematics, known as STEAM, and present their ideas, projects, prototypes, research, or inventions.
To be selected to present your project or idea at STEAM Fest 2026, you must submit a project proposal or project description by 15 July 2026.
Selected participants will be notified and invited to showcase their projects, ideas, models, demonstrations, or innovations at the festival.
Who Can Participate in STEAM Fest 2026?
Students from any cohort are welcome to participate.
This includes:
- Primary school students
- Secondary school students
- Tertiary education students
Participants may submit their ideas individually or as part of a team.
What Can You Submit?
Your submission can be a:
- Project
- Prototype
- Invention
- Research concept
- Model
- Innovative idea
The submission should address a real-world challenge or create a positive impact within the community.
Submission Examples
Examples may include:
- Scientific investigations
- Engineering designs
- Sustainability initiatives
- Creative technology solutions
- Community-focused innovations
- Any bright ideas that can make a positive impact
Participants are encouraged to showcase working models, demonstrations, prototypes, displays, or other interactive presentations at the festival.
STEAM Fest 2026 Focus Areas
Projects may relate to any area of STEAM, including:

Ideas that help solve real-world problems and contribute positively to the City of Casey and the wider community are especially encouraged.

Participants must submit a brief description or proposal of their project or idea in any suitable format.

- Video presentation
- Any other suitable digital format

Judging and Awards
Projects will be assessed by an expert panel of:

Judging Criteria
Judging criteria will be considered as follows:
- Creativity and originality
- Innovation and practical application
- Problem-solving capability
- Community impact and relevance
- STEAM understanding
- Quality of presentation
The decision of the judging panel will be final.
Outstanding projects will receive awards and recognition during STEAM Fest 2026.
